News of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina's cancellation didn't go down well with viewers, with many bewildered by Netflix's decision to disband the coven rather than Riverdale, which will soon enter its fifth season. The reason for Riverdale's somewhat surprising endurance is a practical one, though, as US network The CW is the show's producer. While Netflix does stream the Archie Comics series internationally, the fate of Riverdale lies elsewhere.
